Athletes don’t own their tattoos…

An article discussing copyright laws and how they apply to athletes and games developers that create the games the athletes are in and the reproduction of the tattoos in the game.

It’s interesting in todays’ world where every aspect of life is monetised and licensed that tattoos have come to the forefront.  It’s possible that in the future clients will request tattooers to relinquish copyright ownership of a custom design they have tattooed or perhaps even pay for the privilege.  With a lot of tattoo designs being done digitally and posted online there is the potential for plagiarism from companies and brands.

Perhaps cryptocurrencies like Po.et which validates ownership information for digital creative assets will be useful after all, but I digress, read the article below.
